Highlights of Acting Principal Judge's Engagement with Masaka ULS Representative
The Acting Principal Judge, Lady Justice Okuo Jane Kajuga, on Monday met with Mr. Lule Alexander, the Uganda Law Society Representative for the Masaka Region, at Masaka High Court during her routine regional visit.
Justice Okuo commended Mr. Lule for his dedication to promoting justice and commended the Uganda Law Society for its cooperation with the Judiciary. She emphasized the need for constructive synergy between the Bar and the Bench to ensure "Justice for All" and encouraged advocates and their clients to embrace Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Masaka Resident Judge, Justice Victoria Nakintu Katamba, also called for stronger collaboration, urging members of the Bar to adopt new approaches to solving disputes for the benefit of both clients and lawyers.
Mr. Lule, in his remarks, appreciated the Judiciary's interventions in the region, including sessions and plea-bargaining camps, which he said had demonstrated the Judiciary's commitment to serving the people's needs.
The meeting was attended by Masaka Deputy Registrar HW Loe Karungi, Masaka Chief Magistrate HW Toloko Simon, and HW Edger Nyakairu, Personal Assistant to the Acting Principal Judge.
